A Comprehensive Assessment (formerly known as rule 25 assessment) is a Minnesota specific test used to assist individuals who lack health insurance receive specialized state chemical dependency (CD) treatment funding.
Many treatment centers and organizations offer assistance. These resources could be helpful in overcoming some of those barriers.

A chemical assessment – dial 612.474.4100 to schedule a private assessment - evaluates a person’s alcohol and/or drug. The assessment serves two primary purposes. First, the assessment is used to diagnose substance use disorders. Second, it is used to help people seeking help get admitted into addiction treatment. During the assessment, a person will meet with a state licensed psychotherapist who is specially trained to conduct the test.

The Ramsey County Detoxification Center is a place that helps individuals safely manage symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal for drugs and alcohol, whilel providing counseling and support services that treat the whole person, not just their substance use.

Fairview Recovery Services is a leading detox and inpatient drug and alcohol rehab center in Minneapolis, MN. For individuals struggling with an addiction alcohol, benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, etc), or opioids (heroin, oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc), a supervised medical detoxification may be necessary before entering residential treatment.
